Unfortunately, the trees had to come out, as they are in the location of our new building and parking area. If you happen to be at the Southside Branch in the next few weeks, stop in and take a look at the plans for the new building and the remodels of the drive up next door and the current building. Check out the blog post from April 13th for more details about how we are reusing the trees and future plans for foliage on the site .

We chose to put that ATM through the wall rather than on an outside lane for a couple of reasons. ATMs that are accessed from the outside have to be serviced by a security company (adding costs to our ongoing monthly maintenance of the machines) rather than by our staff inside the branch (who do a bang-up job keeping that machine stocked). Because we were severely limited with space in that drive up, we chose to make the outside lane a bit wider to accommodate larger trucks and trailers (yes, we even get trailers in the drive up)—and to have the first lane do double duty as both the ATM and “drawer” lane. We even considered just making that ATM a walk up ATM (like the ones at our Downtown Branch) but thought that a drive up ATM might meet more members’ needs. Maybe we need to reconsider that…

How about moving the ATM at the Stevensville branch out from the building? It's hard to access from your car without opening your door because the curb sticks out so far, and you have to wait in line behind others who are in line for the teller.
The ATM should be moved out to the farthest lane away from the building for easier, faster access. I also bank with First Security, and they have their ATMs in the lane farthest away from the building, so I know it can be done securely.
